A unique venue at the heart of Southampton, just a stone’s throw away from Southampton Central Train Station, which will provide a unique backdrop to a conference or event.
With its original design and large, airy rooms including a glass-roofed atrium, SeaCity Museum is spectacular both during the day and at night. The nature of the venue means that it can cater for large numbers and can even allow guests to browse the interactive SeaCity Museum as part of their visit, giving events that extra wow-factor.
There are many spaces available throughout the venue with capacity from 40-500 guests.
The imposing barrel-vaulted Grand Hall makes a dramatic backdrop for drinks receptions and networking events. Originally built in the 1930s, the Magistrates Court was one of the finest in the country. This historic Grand Hall features, white Portland stone walls, mahogany doors and a finely decorated ceiling.
The Grand Hall is available to hire seven days a week, after the museum closes at 5pm and holds up to 60 people standing and 40 people in cabaret seating.
The café welcomes visitors during the daytime, and by night doubles up as a beautiful space available to hire for your exclusive use. Adjoining the Galley café is the Atrium, which is ideal for evening drinks receptions or networking events.
The Galley and Atrium are available to hire after the museum closes at 5pm, and holds up to 130 standing, 60 people theatre-style and approximately 40 people in cabaret seating.
The learning Deck comprises of two flexible spaces available for a wide range of events and activities. Situated on the first floor, they are also ideally suited for refreshment breaks or conference breakout areas and training sessions.
As the learning spaces they are regularly used for our busy programme of learning activities, please enquire directly regarding availability.
There is capacity for approximately 30 people, per room, seated in boardroom style.
The new, purpose-built exhibition area is a modern space offering flexibility for a variety of events for approximately 150 guests. Tours may be arranged for your guests.
To add an extra special element to your event the whole museum can be hired, outside of opening hours, for your exclusive use. The magnificent first floor galleries and special exhibition area promise to dazzle your guests, and can play host to exclusive evening events for approximately 500 guests.
Southampton City Art Gallery can be hired for conferences, launch events, drinks receptions and more. Paintings and sculptures provide a wonderful backdrop for couples seeking somewhere unique and the gallery spaces provide a harmonious environment for an unforgettable business event. There is the main space and also smaller rooms for break-out sessions.
Seating can be provided for up to 120 people, and our in-house catering team can work with you to ensure your guests are kept happy throughout your event.

Revealing over 800 years of history in a fascinating location at the heart of the Old Town, Tudor House gives a unique and atmosphere. The beautiful building and garden can be hired exclusively or on a room-by-room basis for events, parties, launches, meetings, filming and much more.
Tudor House & Garden is a licensed venue and our catering team can provide delicious lunches, light refreshments, afternoon tea, cold buffet, canapés and drinks receptions for your guests.
