sustainability

We are proud to be part of the Arts Council England Accelerator programme. As part of the commitment to move to a Carbon Neutral City by 2030 the Green City Charter has been launched. Our vision is to create a cleaner, green, healthier and more sustainable City.

At SeaCity in the café we have moved to biodegradable takeaway cups, paper straws, and source locally where possible. We are also looking into being single use plastic free. We have stopped the automatic printing of receipts for front of house this is also applicable to retail and catering. We now offer digital download of maps instead of handing them out automatically. We are supplied by geothermal for heating and cooling with zero carbon output. We are supplied by 100% green electricity. We use recycled materials where possible for learning activities.
