Workshops

Our highly popular sessions blend interactive activities, object handling and multisensory learning. All workshops last an hour and cost £80. Choose from the following workshops:

  • Under the Sea Learn about the sea with storytelling, marine-themed object handling, and create crafty sea creatures! Perfect for Reception classes.
  • Discover Titanic Explore this significant disaster and life on board through dressing up, artefact-handling and cross circular hands-on activities.
  • Art & History Take a history theme and create a fantastic piece of artwork based on the subject.

Our guide was exceptional. They had the children completely engaged throughout. Their good sense of humour and obvious talent at sharing knowledge through discussion, demonstrations and careful questioning ensured that the children learned a lot from them. They also raised the children’s self esteem by really taking notice of what they had to say and complimenting them on their prior knowledge. Booking was smooth and kept well-informed throughout, quickly responding to questions we had on costs and timings.  Thank you SeaCity – a fantastic day to enhance the children’s learning and enforce the importance of Southampton in the Titanic story.

Discovery Sessions

Our Early Years Discovery Sessions bring the museum to life by combining stories, fun puppets and are designed to appeal to our youngest audiences in a way that is engaging and fun. All Discovery Sessions last an hour and cost £46.

The discovery section was EXCELLENT! The member of staff leading the session engaged the children immediately, ensuring that they were engaged at all times. A really excellent element to our trip.
